Scum System Kill

Formed from the ashes of World on Welfare, Charcoal Human and Aphra Behn, Scum System Kill started in Feb '05, and played bodge-core shows a few weeks later. In the true spirit of punk rock SSK recorded a demo 2 months later then they all fucked off overseas for adventures (except for Cathy who remained frozen in a vat), causing trouble from the G8 summit, to K-town, to Clitfest.

But the Aussie sheilas all returned home and played shows in summer 05/06.

All too soon Jyoti absconded to live in Seattle, at which point Scum-Kissed-'Em-Bill came on board on guitar and also recorded some accordion on their split 7" with Poodles of Nuke 'Em High from New Zealand (less than 30 copies left) Cross Tasman Carnage! Grrl Crust Attack!!!!!!!

After more travelling and with new songs under their collective belts SSK headed to northern NSW with Brain Resin, did a tour with Poodlez across the North Island of New Zealand, and played Brisbane, Canberra and out at the old growth forest in East Gippsland.

In Jan 2007 SSK played a mighty show with Jyoti, who was back in Australia for a short time, and with Cathy for the last time. She decided to leave the band as she needed time and energy to focus on her other projects including shotwithdesire.com

Sophy J took on the lyrical stylings for Scummers, with back-ups from Bekka . Scummers were often to be seen with newest member, Monica who stood in for accordion breakdowns whenever possible!

SSK decided to play amerikka and toured from San Francisco to Vancouver in 2007 and released the A.N.T.I. C.O.P.Z. USA tour CD EP and the nice people at langt ner in France released this CD on tape in Euro- you can get one at www.langtner.narod.ru

In May 2008 Sophie announced that she was old and her voice was broken and couldn't banchie scream any longer Sophie took on second guitar and Kallie the totes brutes gutteral roarer from Poodles of Nuke 'em High came on board to cut sick in the vocal department. SSK started playing shows with this new line up in august 2008.

You might see members & past members playing around in Seattle, London and Australia, or in Vae Victis, Mutiny, Walrora, Crux, Hee Haw or marching bands in new orleans, in the circus or busking with an accordian.



NOW PLAYING MAY 2009 LAST AUS SHOWS EVER!! THEN TOURING SE ASIA IN JULY. Just recorded and will be releasing a tape and CD for SE ASIA and a limited 12" for AUS n INT. which will be out in the future posthumous with a DVD about us!
