This week we sat down with Rome Fortune. The Atlanta rapper was in LA to escape for a bit but, like any hard working artist, ended up in a few studios here (because sometimes it’s harder not to work). I’ll be honest: in my head with my own bias, I thought he might be a “fashion rapper." I feared he'd be snobby or overly egotistical. I was pleasantly proven wrong. Rome is jovial, warm, thoughtful, skilled and humble. He’s a true student of the game, an artist not afraid to experiment, and most importantly a rapper striving to make his music as open and personal as it can be. Here us talk about his jazz lineage, Home Depot hustles, and how the beard ended up green.
