DESCRIPTION:
Description; Nindira (I cry) is a song in Runyoro, one of the languages spoken in Uganda (North western). It highlights issues affecting many widows and orphans in many parts of Uganda and probably the world. In this song, all is very well with the wife and kids when her husband is still live. They work hard and acquire lots of property and land. After his death, her husband's family members turn against her and orphans and chase them away from their land. They grab all the property and tell to go back to her family with her orphans after all the one she was married to and one who loved her is dead . Unfortunately, she was also orphaned at a young age and has no relative or family to return to. Her husband and children are all she had. Confused, disappointed, frustrated and betrayed, she cries as she tells her story and hopes that someone will hear it and come to her rescue. STOP DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
