Unanimously considered by the critics as one of the most important guitarist in Europe, Andrea Vettoretti carries on an intense concert activity bringing him to be considered as a guitar ambassador in several countries around the world. A polished musician, expressed through an educated and emotional language that connect's classic with world experiments.

Born in Treviso, he obtains his diploma with full marks at the “G. Rossini” Conservatory of Fermo. He then continues his studies at the prestigious “Ecole Normale de Music” of Paris under the guide of M° Alberto Ponce, where in only two years he passes the “Diplome Supérieur de Execution” and the “Diplome Supérieur de Concertiste”.

In Paris he also attends several Master Classes held by worldwide famous Masters such as: Mstilav Rostropovitch, Alicia de Larrocha, Stephen Dogson, David Russel, Alberto Ponce, characterizing a full musical preparation.

He has won twelve National and International Competitions, including: Città di Ravenna, “B. Terzi” in Bergamo, “Rovere d’oro” in Imperia, the “Subinates prize” in Switzerland.

In 2000 he won the XV edition of the prestigious A.R.A.M. selection of Rome. Many concerts and international tours, from the Queen Elizabeth Hall in London, to the Salle Cortot in Paris, stopping in metropolitan cities among them Rome, Berlin, Dublin, Valencia, Mexico City, Miami.

He regularly plays for prestigious concert organizations in Europe, Canada, USA and South America, warmly received by the public and critics alike everywhere. During the XXXIII° edition of the “Grolla d’oro” (Arts International Prize) he was awarded a Classical Music Plaque in recognition of his artistic services.

He has recorded nine Cds for the labels: Newton, Rivoalto, Phoenix Classics, Sinfonica, Urtext Digital Classics, B&N, CNI. The “Oh sole Mio” cd was released by Sinfonica, for the centenary of Francisco Tarrega's death.The interest for his guitar repertoire enrichment has brought him to collaborate with several composers, many of whom dedicated their works to him. The piece “L’ultimo caffè insieme” from the CD “Italian Coffee” is also in the soundtrack of the film “Lullaby” by the director Davide Del Degan (Golden Globe).

The new cd, RAIN published by CNI Unite, gathers the works of nine composers in an original project. This work was born from music dedicated to Andrea and represents "The New Classical", a bridge between the depth of classic and current music tendencies. The cd music gives birth to the mutimedia RAIN show which will be on tour in Italy and Europe beginning in March 2015. Andrea Vettoretti is witness to a musical education for children of the Santa Eulalia Valley Peru, known as Musicare. Musicare foresees the building of a musical lab dedicated to classical guitar studies for poor children and teenagers. A portion of the income of rain cd will be allocated to this project.

Andrea Vettoretti binds the RAIN project to the Water Civilisation International Center (Centro Internazionale Civiltà dell’Acqua) Onlus. The center works to build sensibility in our territory to “Water Culture”, and generally a renewed sensibility for the environment and nature.

He is the Art Director of the prestigious International Guitar Festival “Delle Due Città” Treviso – Rome.
