DESCRIPTION: From the grainy VHS vaults of Sound City Broadcasting Central comes the Sound City in Colour sessions. A series of performances showcasing the phenomenal talent of local artists, recorded live in the city against a backdrop of psychedelic insanity. Inspired by the far out influences of great british music television such as The Old Grey Whistle Test and early 1970s TOTP, Sound City in Colour will send you on an hallucinatory analog journey into the kaleidoscopic stratosphere. The first session in the series features Liverpool based band Sankofa, performing their track "Guttermouth". Sankofa will release a 10" EP on Eighties Vinyl Records due out 2nd December, with artwork provided by legendary psychedelic designer John Van Hammersveld of Cream and Hendrix fame. Guttermouth is available for preorder on iTunes now, and the 10" EP will be available from www.eightiesvinylrecords.co.uk and all good record stockists.
