The Shadowcast

Eerie despondent phormation
Shapeless aethereal carnation
Revelations through horrid visions
Sealing the end of creation

Plunging through enraged
Into the core midmost of being
Infecting the womb of existence
Source of life spawned stillborn

Lifeless thou shalt remain
Never verdant, ever-dead
Perished into obliteration
Nonexistent, never to wake

The exhausted rays of a dying sun
Cast down upon this mouldered soil
from the densely darkening heights
Never to shine, to glare no more

What once falls to the ground
Shall never stand again
For everything will collapse in the end
The cloud thickens through the heavens
To cast a shadow over the living and the dead

And as all once above fell down amongst the dirt
Ruptured through a splinter in the wall of glass
And as all above fell down amongst the lurid
The leafless branches of the tree of life
