Guitar is in 'Drop D' Tuning. Tune your bottom E down a tone. This is easier on a non-trem guitar like a Telecaster. It allows you to hit all the strings on the final D of the descending sequence.

Note: Before the chords start, you could try playing the D using the 5th fret of the A string. Mr Gilmour originally did this live, before switching to the open D for the descending chords.
