DESCRIPTION:
From the first beat of the 'Jellybean' Benitez inspired groove of KrystalKlear, its obvious that this is more than just a straight drum & bass mix. It is a direct result of my re-discovery of drum & bass in 2013 and subsequent discovery of all things Hospital Records. Whether listening to the Hospitality Compilations, Med School releases (Etherwood Debut was my #1 album for 2013) the Hospital Records podcasts (essential for long commutes to work) or the Rinse FM shows, I was always left with the joy of discovering something new. Fred V & Grafix begat Madeon begat Martin Solveig and so on. These songs have been in heavy rotation on the devices since the summer time, so this mix is kind of a year end celebration of where we have been; and an opportunity to clear the decks (yes pun!) for the exciting year ahead. Looking forward to the 'We Are 18' compilation on Hospital and the Fred V & Grafix full length album in a few months.
And yes I bought all the songs, except for Curios Kontrol Remix, that was a free download, everybody owns everything and I'm not doing this for profit blah blah, I'm just a big fan and its my way of saying 'Thank you for the great music!' Enjoy!
