DESCRIPTION:
Arkadin's live, on-the-fly, remix of "The Typing Pool," a terrific improvised BBC Radio 3 Late Junction session piece by Fyfe Dangerfield and Rory Simmons. The final section of the piece, basically just electric piano and typing sound effect, is overlaid with material from an earlier section, recorded on a crummy mobile phone, then played back live from said crummy phone next to the radio speaker - both sound sources (one degraded, the other not too bad) then recorded (acoustically) on a Roland BR Micro digital recorder. Two things fit together, but you wouldn't have bet on it . . .

The original BBC session is currently available as a podcast, via programme pages for Late Junction, and is highly recommended.
