Never show the seconds when you try to rip the wrapper with your nails


Ever notice how in films about Tel Aviv there's rain/it's rainy, and in films about NY there's sun/it's sunny
As if we hadn't been there, as if it's not exactly the opposite.

Ever notice how in films, the dialogue is so incredibly witty, everyone speaks short and to the point, and if someone stammers it's because the character has a stutter

Ever notice how in films, people jump from rooftop to rooftop without ever falling
And they never step on dog shit on the street
And never fall deep into depression or love for more than one act.


And meanwhile, all the magic disperses…


Ever notice how in films, someone always goes through a personal journey, if not the hero, then the supporting character
If not the supporting character, then his girlfriend
If not his girlfriend, then the animated character voiced by Billy crystal.
