His new release ‘Semper Fi’ will be released at the end of
august at the High Contrast label. Also the already much
talked about smashing remix of Skunk Anansie’s new hit ‘My Ugly Boy’
will be released in the same week! Add this in-demand sound
to RvG's distinctive Rock and Raw image, commanding stage
presence and crowd hyping DJ sets causing urban disruption and
mayhem in every country in the world: the Ronald van Gelderen
package is complete…
As a DJ, Ronald van Gelderen leaves his trade mark
on global club land, attending big European festivals
like Trance Energy, Mystery Land, Dance Valley, Free Festival,
Pleasure Island, Gatecrasher Summer Sound System, Top Fest,
Dancetination, Sunrise Festival and touring as far as China,
Australia, USA and Canada in recent months. Leading promoters
are also fast taking to the RvG-sound and style; with bookings
at the biggest clubs around the globe his DJ diary is fully
booked every weekend.
As a producer, Ronald van Gelderen is very much
cutting out his own sound in the global market place.
His style is trance, electro, tech and rock all rolled into
one phat soundtrack. But best of all is that as well as
tweaking the studio controls, RvG also writes and performs
all the vocals himself!
Since '97 RvG first left his mark as a producer
under the famous Kid Vicious alter ego. He released
the massive club hits 'Re-Form', 'Pants Down Spanking'
and 'Contagious' and went onto co-produce with Tiësto,
penning 'Urban Train' and 'Suburban Train' before finally
getting behind his own name, releasing the big hits ‘Proceed’
and 'Sustain' on Tsunami, 'Cold Storage' on the ID-T imprint
and remixing 'Carte Blanche' on Positiva and Dogzilla
'Without You' on Nebula to huge critical acclaim in recent
years. Ronald appeared to have found his groove at the High Contrast
label of Be Yourself Music and where he just scored
several big hits in a row; 'F!lth', 'This Way', 'Realize',
‘Embrace Me’, ‘Rush’ and 'Dirty Rocker'.
However, the beginning of 2009 made RvG realize
that next to producing for the High Contrast label,
it was time for another step in his career. Creating
a platform to express himself more in a way that would
give him that liberating feeling . A platform that
would give a solid ground for himself and fellow artists
in the shape of his own record label. Raw-Sessions Recordings
, was born. With the first releases ‘Backstabberzz’,
‘Vinkenpark’, ‘Frantic’/’Burnout’, ‘Liam Rocks’,
‘Devil With A Cause’ and ‘In Control’; the label
proved to be a successful player next to the other
labels in the dance industry.
Ever though his own label has proved to be
very successful, the High Contrast label still
proves to be the Dirty Rocker’ solid home base.
After releasing a bunch of tracks on RAW Sessions,
van Gelderen strikes back witch a pounding club stomper:
‘Semper Fi’! This smashing release contains remixes
of John O’Callaghan and Artento Divini. Release date: August 23rd 2010.
To ensure 2010 was going to turn out as
Ronald van Gelderen’s year, the famous Rock
band Skunk Anansie requested him to provide their
new debut single ‘My Ugly Boy’ - from the comeback album
‘ Wonderlustre’ - with a outstanding remix.
Van Gelderen was contacted by the record company
of Skunk Anansie to provide the new single with that
typical ”van Gelderen sound”… Known for his
rough-around-the-edges energetic uplifting euphoric,
sound, and his extravagant reputation as the ‘bad boy’
in the dance industry, and always bringing urban disruption
with his smashing productions, blended in perfectly
in what the band Skunk Anansie stands for. A pounding
combination of rolling beats, sweat soaked synthlines
and the always brilliant vocals by Skin, followed by
the drums and guitars of the band itself, were the perfect
ingredients for a successful remix. After personal approval
of the band the release of the remix is scheduled for
the end of August.
Ronald proves once again that he is still part
of the big league and that the success of his career
is still going, and growing strong.
