In the fall of 2011 right after Gov. Brownback eliminated the Kansas Arts Commission, Ron Radford, Flamenco Guitarist, with funding eliminated for all the communities on his tour, turned his six week fall Kansas concert schedule into a promotional tour encouraging arts activists in the state to speak up.-

Adding his voice to the groundswell of support for the arts, he went from town to town performing public concerts and school programs not to make money, but to make a difference in the lives of the people of Kansas. His theme, "The Power of Ole! -- Optimistic Leadership Energy!" resonated in radio, TV, Youtube video and newspaper interviews.-

Ron's powerful message that the arts create community and help preserve the essential values of our civilization inspired others to speak up -- and take action. The politicians got the message! The Governor of Kansas has restored the funding for the arts in the next state budget! Ole!
