"Calutul Constellation" is the fourth song from the album "See You Spoon!!!!!!!".
On this song I play a "pseudo" country style riff over a Tango style drum machine pattern. My friend Fred Villard plays some drums over the Drum Machine (Yamaha Mr10). My friend Sylvain Dollet plays bass.
Calutul mean "pony" in Romanian language. I take the sample from a Romanian vinyl. In this disc, actors tell the story from the book "The Red Pony" by John Steinbeck. I found this book in a street. Then I highlighted it my music School, and one of my student, Alex Novac, who come from Romania, tell to me he have this book recorded on a vinyl !! what a surprise !! and he have this vinyl !! He give me the disc !! thanks a lot Alex !! This song wouldn't be the same without you !!!!

Sur c'est chanson, je joue un pseudo riff de Country sur un rythme de Tango. Mon Ami Fred Villard joue de la batterie en plus de la boite à rythme (Yamaha Mr10). Mon Ami Sylvain Dollet joue la basse.
Calutul veux dire "poney" en Roumain. J'ai pris le sample sur un vinyle Roumain. Dans ce disque, des acteurs lisent le livre de John Steinbeck "Le poney rouge". J'ai trouvé ce livre dans la rue. J'ai exposé ce livre dans mon école, et un de mes étudiants, Alex Novac, qui viens de Roumanie m'a dis qu'il avait ce livre en vinyle !!! Quelle surprise !! Et il avait ce disque !! Il m'offrit ce vinyle. Merci beaucoup Alex !!! Ce morceau ne serai pas le même sans toi !!!
