Rodrigo Lozano & Hubert Gomez - Strange Dreams (original mix) - Video
PUBLISHED:  Mar 29, 2012
DESCRIPTION:
The boys from Lima are back on Architronica with some scorching deep bump! Strange Dreams is a soundtrack to just that; nocturnal eyelid-fluttering of the 3rd kind. So slip some laudanum in your bed-time tea and let's chase the dragon baby!
The original is everything you would expect from Rodrigo and Hubert; stompy and hypnotic, interplaying synths weave in and out of each other and the solid bass-groove that leads to toe-tapping, foot-stomping, and head-nodding. Sure to set the floor alight at any hour.
Bobby Chombo takes things in a dubbier direction, reigning in the BPM and letting a spaced-out mood dominate. The original elements blend with new textures, coming at you from the end of a cavernous tunnel, deep underground.
NuBody's re-interpretation is all house, kicking out a solid groove that grinds on under floating synth work. The complex, multi-layered beats for which the man is known lend this track a more rhythm-dominated feel.
Get some of the good noise in your ear-holes!
