DESCRIPTION:
Rodd Keith was the Brian Wilson/Phil Spector/Joe Meek of song poems. The "song poem" sub-industry was when amateur poets and would-be songwriters would send in their poems/lyrics to be put to music by professionals in hopes of becoming the next Johnny Mercer. It was Rodd's job to set these to music and produce a record to send back to the aspiring Cole Porter.

This soulful track may even surpass "Baby I'll Give It To You" as Rodd's most commercially promising production. If this had not been a vanity project and had instead been aimed at actual record buyers, it might well have gotten some radio airplay.
