Once you hear MIKE's music, you'll understand why the Brooklyn born Michael St. Fleur doesn’t' need a catchy nickname to draw attention to himself. He's simply, MIKE. Not only does he rap and sing, but he mixes styles from his English and Caribbean roots. Like others, he has learned from the pioneers of hip hop yet adds a unique blend of fun and character to today's music. He doesn't proclaim to be the best - He just brings you the music that stirs deep within his soul. MIKE got his first taste of rap at the age of 12, when he came upon his older brother listening to Jay-Z's infamous Reasonable Doubt album. It was at this moment, that MIKE became aware of his passion, and his thirst for knowledge about the rap game became more than just urge, it became a certainty. He began listening to more hip hop music and with the encouragement of his sister, started listening to other genres of music as well. Some of his favorite and most respected artists are Curtis Blow, Doug E. Fresh, and of course Biggie and Pac. But those are just some of his rap favorites. He also listens to Guns and Roses, Phil Collins, Elton John, Patti LaBelle, Gladys Knight and many others. MIKE believes "being well cultured as a student of music, will add to your diversity and creativity".

It wasn't long before he caught the eye of Executive Producer Julian Booth of Slip and Slide records who recognized MIKE's talent instantly. True to his undying passion for music, it wasn’t long before MIKE continued his journey toward success learning very valuable lessons along the way. MIKE's fan base began to grow as a result of touring the underground circuit performing live at some of the tri state's most respected showcases. Simultaneously his online presence has grown immensely as well. He has averaged over 2,000 profile views daily on Myspace.com and has debuted at 1 on the Myspace N.J. charts for over 4 consecutive months. Over the last year, MIKE has teamed up with Universal Music Group’s own musical genius - Frankie Biggz, who has produced artists such as Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Kayne West and Diddy, as well as Grammy Award Winning Producers and Engineers such as Conrad Golding of Mandatory Entertainment and The Dream Team who produced musical tracks for artist such as 50 cents, LL Cool J and The American Idol Cast to name a few; to create music that is not only trend setting and original but will give the world one more reason to love hip hop / good music again. In conjunction with his increasingly growing online presence and street credibility, MIKE has also gained the support of The Source Magazine and can be found within the pages of the July issue. It was through The Source Magazine that MIKE got the unique opportunity to meet with The Legendary LL Cool J who immediately took a liking to his humble, yet confident swagger and captivating music. Mike has also gained the support of Dr. Benjamin Chavis of Russell Simmons Hip Hop Summit and MC Serch of the former group Third Base and VH1's Miss Rap Supreme. With the help of Dr. Ben Chavis and MC Serch, Mike's career has taken new levels of existence. Listeners often get that same feeling when they hear tracks such as "Winner" or "Better" which are some of MIKE's latest songs to date. Mike has had the opportunity to open for acts around the country such as Omarion, Day 26, Mike Jones, LL Cool J and T.I. Within the next few months, he is expected to be the opening act for acts such as Keisha Cole, Alicia Keyz, Keri Hilson, Kayne West, Pussy Cat Dolls and the Legendary Michael Jackson. In essence, MIKE is ready to make his contribution to the music industry and get people excited about buying music again.
