DESCRIPTION:
Zephyr Quartet performs "String Quartet No. 12 (From Ubirr)" by Peter Sculthorpe as part of their concert Australian Landscapes at the Melbourne Recital Centre, 24 November 2011.
The music is inspired by Ubirr which is a large rocky outcrop in Kakadu National Park in northern Australia. It houses some of the best and most varied Aboriginal rock painting in Australia.
