In this clip from www.artistshousemusic.org - Tom Derr, co-founder of Rock Ridge Music, talks with students at Loyola University about his background in the music industry. He describes how he started out working in a record store and went on to open his own record store. From there, Tom worked at many smaller labels and eventually ended up with positions at both RCA and Universal Records and had a close working relationship with the Dave Matthews Band.
