The Righteous Kind is a rock and R&B band from Gainesville FLA, a town with over 200 active bands and a legendary music scene. In this environment, The Righteous Kind consistently play to packed houses combining high energy dance music with great musician and showmanship.

Led by award-winning singer/songwriter Charles Martin, the music is rock 'n' roll with R&B, psychedelic, and rockabilly influences. Think Beatles + Mooney Suzuki + The Pips + both Elvises. The Righteous Kind has released two albums, 'Wild Hibiscus' and 'Some Are of Love,' available on iTunes, Amazon and other sites. Their song 'Zombies in my car' will be in a zombie movie currently in post production.

Joining guitarist and front man Martin are Tom Miller, on bass, drummer Larry Thompson, and B.B. Brashear on the Hammond B3 organ. These musicians also perform and tour as The Lousy Monkees, a tribute to the perpetually popular Monkees, of record, TV and movie fame. The also do a rockabilly/alt-country band called The Colonel & his Smokin' Mullet Rockers. They play clubs and events from Atlanta to Miami to Mobile.

"Playing songs from their new album, front man Charles Martin could have knocked down The Atlantic's walls with his staggering guitar sounds and high-energy vocals." INsite Magazine Feb 7, 2011
