Son House in 1964 - 4 recordings (rare) - Video
PUBLISHED:  Jun 18, 2011
DESCRIPTION:
*I suggest you turn the volume up

I'm not sure as to when and where these were recorded, though presumably they're among his first recordings post rediscovery.

They were released on the LP "Son House The Real Delta Blues; songs from the man who taught Robert Johnson".

the songs are:

D.T. Moan - instrumental based on the song recorded by Sylvester Weaver titled "guitar rag"
Hobo - another interesting instrumental piece
Pony Blues - Charley Patton's song
A Down The Staff - Mellow song, to the same arrangement as Patton's "Moon Going Down" (House himself recorded it in the '40s as "My Black Woman")
