For those interested, I wrote this song over the summer when I was in China teaching English for a month as a volunteer at a church. I was in a city I had never been to, I didn't know anyone, and I was the only English teacher for a class of students who were mostly older than me. The heavy loneliness was oppressive, especially at night, and I sang and played keyboard to fight the depression. I hope this song uplifts you as well :)
