Rigael Damar born 1980 in San francisco into a family of musicians and singers has displayed musical talent since his young years. At the age of three he would pick out and play the melodies from his favorite commercials on the piano. A pure optimist, Rigael in 2005 leaves the US to travel, learn a new language, and write music in Europe's pop capital, and settles in Stockholm Sweden. Starting a Hip Hop Soul band in 2008, Rigael Damar, artist and 'American Immigrant' created immediate buzz after the independantly released single 'Cocaine' was made available for free downlaod. Thereafter follows requests from radio hosts to interview the new talent. MTV Sweden also requests to feature the 'American Immigrant' artist and songwriter, recording and broadcasting his live performance from Sturehof Obaren, Stureplan. Rigael Damar has also been featured in Kingsize Magazine, Scandanavias largest urban magazine.
After signing a publishing deal with Mr. Radar Music Group in the fall of 2009, Rigael Damar has developed into a new force within Sweden's highly competive and successful songwriting community. With co-writes with the likes of Curtis Richardson (Joss Stone: UK, Jennifer Lopez: US), Hiten Bharadia (Lemar: UK, Craig David:UK, Kumi Koda: Japan), and Mats Valentin (Il Divo: UK, Jessica Simpson: US, Saving Jane: US) among others.
