Mary Ndiaye

I was born the 13th April 1987 in Stockholm, Sweden. My Senegambian mum raised me in an environment with pretty much a perfect mix of two worlds. I got to experience the European pop music scene and structured lifestyle but also got a taste of the Senegambian "heat", colorful culture and music. I don't remember the exact age, but I think I was around 4 or 5 years old when I first discovered Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston. Growing up with their musical influences I just knew music had to be part of my destiny and I guess that's how this "Big Dreamer" was born.
Except for achieving my own musical goals, I truly hope that by sharing my story I will inspire other Big Dreamers to do the same.
Career Diary
•The 7/8-2011 Mary Signed to Akons digital Recordlabel "Akons Hitlab".
•The music video for Mary's first single "Dumb Dumb" was nominated in the Category "Best Video" at the
Okapiawards in Congo Kinshasa.
•From nearly 2000 contenders, Mary was the 3rd finalist on Metro Music Challenge, "Metro On Stage 2011 Finals" held at Berns in Stockholm.
•At the age of 19, Mary signed her first publishing deal with Air Chrysalis Scandinavia (BMG Chrysalis) where she is still signed today, writing her own songs and writing for other projects as well.

•14/8-2011: Opening act for Akon at the Wambam festival in Toronto, Canada
•13/8-2011: Opening act for Akon at The Palais des congrès in Montreal, Canada
•2/6-2011: Opening act for Magic system at Munchenbryggeriet in Stockholm, Sweden.
•30/4-2011: Mary performed at the Okapiawads in Congo Kinshasa, sharing the stage with Mohombi, Fally Ipupa, Tony Sad, Barbara Kanam and Gabo Snoop, just to name a few.
•31/8-2010: Mary did a live broadcasted appearance at "TV4 Nyhetsmorgon", Swedens biggest National TV-Channel, where she, with the backup of her band and dancers performed with her songs Dumb Dumb and Double D. She also gave an interview.
•Summer of 2010: Mary performed at festivals like Peace&Love, Way out West and Stockholm Pridefestival together with her Crew of Live band and dancers.
•Previous shows also include opening act for international artist like Brick & Lace and Kevin Lyttle in Stockholm, Sweden.
Current Projects
Besides the time Mary spends on stage and in the studio recording, she also works as a Lecturer, visiting different schools and youth clubs where she shares her story, inspires and motivates young people to achieve their goals in life.
