1456. Ave Maria (Franz Schubert) - sung by Delphine Arbeau - Video
PUBLISHED:  Feb 16, 2013
DESCRIPTION:
This video is a substitute for a video which I have removed at the request of the performer. The deleted video (which was number 1456) was from a series of concerts my wife and I attended at the Cloitre medieval des Billetes in Paris in August 2012.

I am replacing it with a video from the same series of concerts, a show called "Die Nacht von Schubert - Musiques et textes de Franz Schubert (1997 - 1828)".

"Ellens dritter Gesang" (Ellens Gesang III, D. 839, Op. 52, No. 6, 1825), in English: "Ellen's Third Song", was composed by Franz Schubert in 1825 as part of his Opus 52, a setting of seven songs from Walter Scott's popular epic poem "The Lady of the Lake", loosely translated into German.

It has become one of Schubert's most popular works, recorded by a wide variety and large number of singers, under the title of "Ave Maria". (Information from Wikipedia)

It is sung here by Delphine Arbeau, with Jeyran Ghiaee on piano.

Lyrics and chords of many of my songs are no longer available, as my website has expired. I am currently posting lyrics to the information panels on all my videos and those that are too long to post in full will be found on my new website: https://raymondsfolkpage.wordpress.com
