DESCRIPTION:
Our friend Ally Gourlay was diagnosed with terminal cancer of the oesophagus back in April 2014 - In the summer of 2015 some of his friends from all over the Country decided to arrange a get together, Those friends are Pat and Eddie, Gill, Jeff, Jackee and me (Martin) We also thought it would be good to try and get a couple of members from one of Ally's favourite bands The Idle Race to come along, And with thanks to band members Roger 'Ollie' Spencer and Dave Pritchard and his wife Fiona that's what happened, Ally knew he was going to meet them for the first time, but what he didn't know was that there was a surprise lined up for him, his musical hero since childhood Roy Wood was also waiting in the pub to meet him, This video contains an interview I did with Ally, A video of the 'surprise' plus 2 of Ally's favourite songs along with photos from the night of August 31st 2015. - Ally passed away on the 6th Feb 2016 R.I.P
