DESCRIPTION:
Richard and Shannon Leigh drove from Nashville to do a benefit performance for the 152 year old Church of the Nativity in Rosedale, Louisiana. Richard sang some of his original songs, some traditional Christmas songs, and a brand new Christmas song he wrote the day before with Mike James, a member of the congregation. There was a reception after the service where we were served a gumbo, cooked by Tom James, that would rival the finest kitchens in Louisiana. Thanks to Richard and Shannon Leigh for making the trip, and to Reverend Jerry Phillips, The James brothers, and the entire congregation of the Church of the Nativity for the great service and warm hospitality.
