Doublekick pattern - Video
PUBLISHED:  Jan 30, 2016
DESCRIPTION:
This kickdrum-pattern is taken from the song "Negative Creep" recorded in 2001 by Ebony Tears.. I had to force myself to keep up with the guitarplayer Conny Johnsson who came up with all these rythms. The original tempo of the song is 108bpm but here it is recorded at 100bpm (getting older you know).. Anyway, it is in 7/4 time but instead of putting the kick on 1 (bar 2) I just kept going in straight 4/4, ending up with the snare on beat 1 at the turnaround. I'm not leading with my right all the time, it's an alternating pattern, using "Hiertas".. Meaning that when the 2nd bar starts, I lead with the left foot, playing the same pattern as in bar 1. This first clip is just the feet playing the kickdrum pattern, next clip will be with the hihat and snare put on top of it.. Enjoy the shaking camera-action :)
