DESCRIPTION:
We drove through Reed City and Mancelona
Toward Paradise
Rolled down the windows and flipped on the brights
You fell asleep in the backseat in record time
We're just a couple of empty bottles
Rattling 'round the pile
Out on the water it's grey, mixed with blue
You can barely see me and I can't see you
But I can hear you singing at the edge of the water where we threw our shoes
We're just a couple of swirling bubbles
Caught and then cut loose
All the way around the backside of the bay
We rolled up our pant-legs and walked
You didn't leave any tracks at all
You and the waterbugs alike
Ripples on your sides
A flickering of light
In and out of time
From the upcoming album, Waterbugs, which releases on June 1st, 2013.
