I've been singing Spice Girls with pretend microphones since I was seven. It wasn't until my freshman year of high school that I learned the G chord on guitar. I've been singing, playing, and performing ever since.
The first time I sang in front of people was when I auditioned for a show my sophomore year of high school; I loved it. Soon, I was in Annapolis singing at my first open mic. That's when I figured it out, I wasn't an athlete, or a math wiz, or cool. I just wanted to play music.
I started writing more and more, and wanted something to share with people I played for. At 16, I went to Recording Arts in Virginia, and with the help of Marco Delmar, and of course my mama, I recorded seven of my original tunes. It was stressful, frustrating, but load of fun. The end product was The Only Thing I Can Do. With the help of CDbaby, my EP is available on iTunes, Amazon, Napster, and a jillion other places.
My senior year of high school I started venturing out of local venues, and traveling to Virginia, Pennsylvania, New York, and Massachusetts. The summer before college I was able to play in Utah and California, and meet some amazing people.
I've been lucky enough to share the stage with Freedy Johnston, Cliff Eberhardt, and Trace Bundy. Traveling and performing on both coasts, I've continued to grow as a singer, songwriter, and performer.
Right now, I'm living in Boston and attending Northeastern University. I love it here. I've been influenced by and playing with so many amazing, inspiring musicians. I just bought an electric guitar, and I'm extremely excited to write and change and then share my new music with you.
Recently, I was awarded the grand prize of Washington Area Music Associations' P.A.S.S contest. This means a new CD will be released for your listening pleasure next summer!
