Isn't it interesting how the 'about' section could be written so many different ways, depending on who is writing it. Im sure so and so would have interesting things to say about Jamie Robb, and someone else would have this to say, and my mom, jeez, im sure her profile would be about how wonderful her daughter is. Lets give this a go. Musically.I started playing guitar when I was 21, taking it seriously at 22, and I started playing out about the town at 23. Not very long ago at all. However, I grew up in a musical family, and tried hard to absorb it all, and i've always been a singer and a writer. the melodies were there, just no guitar. tried piano, wish I stuck with it but I was such a hard head at 7 that I convinced my parents that was a lost causehow wrong I was at 7. I grew up playing sports, singing, acting, imagining, playing dress up, pretending I was in movies in my back yard, hanging with my bros, my parents, my dogs, my cat and my friends. I went to HS in new york city, and I miss the subways and how CLOSE you are to strangers and how you can dissect a person, delving into what you percieve their life is like, where they are going, what they are thinking. I miss the smell of roasted nuts while walking up the stairs on columbus circle on my way to 60th st, and i miss hanging with my buddies outside of school, trying to hang with the cool kids but since I didn't smoke and had really sensitive lungs from running I think, I would cough a lot and make up reasons why I had to go. I'm obsessed with learning, especially about other cultures and right now i'll be honest and say I am in love with Africa. I recenly got back from east africa and just fell in love and I could totally move there if other things were different I suppose. Anyways, I love music, its really all encompassing for me. I am admiting things in my songs, on the stage, that i haven't always even begun to understand, or realize why I wrote it, what it is about etc. I live in California. I am so impressed by the talented people i've met all over the world, and the random acts of kindness that knock you off your feet when your not paying attention. I try to listenbecasue I think that's probably one of the hardest things in life to do. this hardly is a bio, it barely graces that surface, but then again, do any bios ever really do that? they usually are written by someone, just talking about all the noteworthy things they've done, people they've played with, etc. Do they ever tell you all that much info that you really wanted to know? I love playing and writing music, and im happy you've stopped by for a listen. xoxo
