DESCRIPTION:
On the evenings of June 3 & 4, 2016 a highly-educated group of party animals from all parts of the country descended on the tranquil campus of Bowdoin College. They are known as the Class of '76 and this video is their story .......
The band on Saturday night featured two original members of Plateful of Food: John Reilly (drums) and Mr. Entertainment himself, Dave Larsson( piano& vocals). Back in the 70's Plateful of Food overcame its name to become a tour de force on campus. Creighton Lindsay and Kevin McCarthy were the other half of that venerable band. In their absence at this reunion, fill-ins Paul Most ("76) and Bob Lawson ('75) were brought in on guitar and bass, respectively. Jef Boeke added vocals and lap steel and Munchettes, Nancy Collins and Annie Ireland, completed the scene.
Fortunately, the alcohol flowed sufficiently enough that the partygoers did not seem to pick up on the rough edges of these renditions of favorite tunes from their youth. A splendid time was had by all. A lot of spirit in that room! Thanks to Janet Lawson and Jane Reilly for pulling out their iphones and capturing the fun!
