   Red One Bio:

Scott originally started his career in Drum and Bass as a promoter in the early 1990's putting on 'Imagination' parties in the Bishopsgate area of London. After inviting Andy (Andy C) out to a few of his parties Andy was immediately blown away by the DJs and the concept of mixing. This led Andy to ask Scott to help him buy his first pair of turntables and teach him the science of beat matching. What followed for Andy can only be described as an addiction, and due to the shear intensity of his practicing it wasn’t long before Scott saw something special and believed he had something that was worth promoting. So Scott went on to get Andy his first radio slot on pirate station Syndicate FM, and bookings at both Elevation and Telepathy.

In 1998 Scott produced and engineered 'Hard Edge’ which made it’s way on to Ram’s 'Sound In Motion’ LP. In the same year he collaborated with Ant Miles on the massive 'Strangled Duck’ which was released on Ram’s sister label Liftin’ Spirits and went on to become the labels’ best seller up to that date.

Scott decided to become full time label manager for Ram Records in early 1999 and take care of the business side of things for the label, taking on responsibilities such as A&R, press, promotions, manufacturing, accounts, and a whole lot more. Scott’s management related achievements include various 'Best Label' awards, managing an acoustic drum anthem 'Body Rock' up the UK singles chart to reach number 28, and the conception of Andy C's Nightlife series.

Even though Scott’s continually busy on the label front, managing releases for Ram, Frequency, and there affiliated labels, Scott loves nothing more than to produce and play on the DJ circuit. His most notable recent releases being: 'Sweet Music’, 'Pitch Switch’, Pump Up The Volume' and not forgetting the memorable 'Believe in You’ which featured on Liftin’ Spirits. As for the DJ circuit, Scott has toured the world extensively playing at some of the world’s most prestigious venues and festivals playing to crowds in excess of 10,000 people.

Red One is nothing short of a drum and bass expert; he knows everything there is to know about drum & bass. For the most part because he does everything there is to do in drum & bass almost on a daily basis! He DJs, produces, engineers, manages, promotes, you name it he does it all. Just about everyone in the scene knows him and everyone respects him.
