DESCRIPTION:
Last time I had talked with Josh Doyle was 2 years ago. He'd just got done with a string of European tours, played Jimmy Kimmel live and released his new album to great success. Then he went dark. For a year almost, it seemed. He called me out of the blue this month, ready to show his new songs. What had he been up to, I asked. Turns out he took time off to homeschool his two kids and focus on family.

Lucky for all of us, the kids are in public school again and Josh is writing. This song reminds me of signature Doyle - songs about suburbia, the realities of life that threaten to cave-in on us every day, and working-class struggles to find higher purpose. All written in very blunt, beautiful terms.
