This one contains one of the most iconic (and a favorite of mine) phrases:
"It is time for us all to decide who we are. Do we fight for the right to a night at the opera now?"
There are two sections in this, that are in opera terms, known as a "recitative" (or a "recit"). It follows the format of a traditional Baroque recit with a rolled harpsichord type sound, and a bass (in this case, a bowed cello). The timing of music in a recit is usually determined by the singer, and the orchestra follows. As this isn't really a possibility with a pre-recorded track, I've done my best to use timings that felt natural, allowed moments for dramatic pause and character acting. I tried to follow the timing of the anniversary concerts.
If you use this, please post your recording as a video response! My authentic orchestral instrumental karaoke (no voice) rendition of "Red and Black" (ABC Cafe / Café) from the Les Miserables film. I am a composer and producer who creates music for film and television. I enjoy producing the most realistic sounding renditions of orchestral music. This version of "Red and Black" ABC Cafe / Café is incredibly authentic and has an absolutely realistic orchestral sound. Broadway / recording quality.
Enjoy. This level of realism takes a painstaking amount of time and effort.
