Nova - The Adelaide Show



*As fate would have it, the paths of three musicians crossed and the electronica band, Sonic Monkey was formed in **2006**. In 2002, Craig and Andrew were introduced and began jamming in the spare room of Andrews house. Many sounds and beats were created but they needed direction then came Feee.



*After a brief meeting, Andrew and Craig exchanged previously recorded tracks and samples with Feee who added her vocal ideas. Their unique sounds of Sonic Monkey were born.

Working independently, the three Monkeys developed their music by exchanging electronic music files via USB sticks. Within a month their first single, Just Like a Memory, was recorded. Amazingly the three had yet to jam together.

Once regular practice sessions had been set, Sonic Monkey were able to develop their live show and explore new ideas which produced new tracks.



*So far, the band has had Air Play and interviews on S.A. and interstate radio stations and has enjoyed recently playing LIVE on Fresh FM "Pleasure Session " with DJ Josh. In 2008 SONIC MONKEY had their debut on NOVA 919 with their new single "Resist" a collaboration with Paul James and SONIC MONKEY. In their first year as a ‘performing band’ they have enjoyed awesome opportunities to play LIVE on stages alongside DJ Proteus, Dj PeeWee, DJ TinRib, MPK, DJ Devious, Steve Hill, DJ Fierce Dj Patch, C.O.A. John Doe and along side: DJ Josh, DJ Bexta, DJ, Archie, DJ Madusa, Tim Ericson, Systembot in Adelaide and opening festivals such as "Schoolies Week" in S.A. Victor Harbor and Enchanted Forest in Adelaide. SONIC MONKEY is taking on a life of its own and each member is working hard to spread our Monkey Biz world wide!!
