Black Beat Movement is a six-piece nu funk collective based in Milan, born in 2012 from the union of different musicians coming from various well-established projects (Vallanzaska, Rezophonic, Rootical Foundation) and new talents.The band experiments with urban noises and neo soul, d’n’b, rap and funk beats.During 2012 BBM started spreading its music all over the country (jazz festivals, clubs, hip-hop jams) receiving great feedback from the audience.
The first Ep / BLACK BEAT MOVEMENT / was published in February 2013 and distributed by Maninalto Records. Since then, the band released more than fifty concerts in six months, also opening concerts of important artists of the italian  and international music scene including Africa Unite, Sud Sound System, Statuto, Paola Turci, Nesli, Clementino, Aprés la Classe, The Bluebeaters, Hiatus Kaiyote (AU) and The Coup (USA).BBM won the Sziget 2013 Italy contest and had the opportunity to perform twice in one of the most important European festivals Sziget Festival (Hungary).The first full-length album will be available on iTunes in april 2014.
