Supremely luxurious imprint Deep Vibes has been turning heads for the last twelve months or so with a series of indispensable EP's from the likes of Sascha Dive and Scott Ferguson. This killer doublepack is the label's most high profile transmission yet, compiling exclusive tracks from Norm Talley and Agnes, alongside some priceless productions from Dive and some artists new to these ears. This label is all about slowed down, skewed House music and dub techno reductions in the vein of the Workshop imprint or the most recent material from New World Aquarium, and Ray Valioso's 'You'll Never Be Mine' fits into the template beautifully for the opening number - straight and padded House music that's somehow underpinned by a squashed production aesthetic that imbues it with stylistic weight. Buks' "Still Working" is another highlight, a spacious House template submerged by an edgy bassline that almost frays at the seams, beautifully arranged with a conscious "Beatdown" vibe that's summery without ever losing depth. Speaking of Beatdown, scene legend Norm Talley closes the doublepack with a sick "Beatdown Brothers" remix of "Exodus" - a classic midnight House variation straight from the hands of the master. Aces.
