The former Raices Program of Boys & Girls Harbor presented a yearly Conversation withe the Masters moderated by Aurora Flores that featured percussionist/ bandleader & Fania All-Star Ray Barretto in its debut year to a fully packed gymnasium studio. Watch Ray Barretto become animated as he demonstrates the Watusi dance, dishes on Ruben Blades, auditions for Tito Puente at the Palladium Ballroom and explained Latin music in jazz. Considered the most recorded congüero in the history of jazz, Ray Barretto was the recipient of an NEA Jazz Masters Award before his passing.
