Rave On is Rockin band all the way from Finland. We play some rock'n'roll, rockabilly, rhythm'n'blues & blues. The band started in early 90's, and has backed up such a greats like Rosie Flores, Sonny Burges and Sleepy Labeef.
The current line up has three original members (Markku Salo, Reijo Salo & Jari Pekkola) and one new member (Marko Luhtala), but during the past 15 years there has been few other players too: Tiia Vanhatapio was one of the very few Rockabilly female singers in Finland during the early 90's, Ola Turro(Lost Souls, Nashville Bum, now with Johnny D & The Knuckledusters) played lead guitar for years with Rave On. Next lead man was Timo Luostarinen, who has played with many Rockin bands, including Fortune Teller, The Jokers and Van Go. There has been also two other bass players, Japi Saario (Jim & The Dunlops, Nashville Bum, The Roadracers) and Rami Soini, who now leads great rockabilly trio called Flatbroke Trio. During the fall 2006 till the fall 2007 band drummer was John Wayne (Junk Pushers, also a DJ in many clubs).
