This year´s issue of Sentinel´s dubplate-only event DUBS FULL HUNDRED will feature no other than the british soundsystem legend David Rodigan, who will grace Stuttgart, Germany on Saturday, March 31st for this unprecedented Event.
David „Ram Jam" Rodigan and Germany´s Topsoundsystem Sentinel will play dubplates all night long on a gigantic soundsystem with 4000 watts of soundpower. Sentinel could win Rodigan´s approval to take part in this incomparable showcase - both sounds will play their most exclusive gems from their dubplatebox as well as well-known signature dubs. It is he first time in history that Rodigan agreed to take part in an event like this.
DUBS FULL HUNDRED is meant to be for all the those dancehall reggae music lovers out there, who are hungry for „the real thing". Patrons will hear everything from Rub-a-dub style to Studio One, Dancehall troughout the decades, all presented on dubplate specials! Cut out the quarrel, cut out the cursing of nowadays clash events, this time it will just be real music all night long.
Sir David Rodigan is one of the first pioneers in the soundsystem movement - The radioshow with which he started out in 1978 marked the beginning of the extraordinary carrier of this now legendary soundman. He became famous worldwide after a radioclash in 1985 against the jamaican radio DJ Barry G. He is one of the most popular international Reggae selectors not only in Europe, but wordwide. Rodigan still plays every weekend all over the world known as the „Reggae-Ambassador" from London.
Sentinel Sound from Stuttgart, Germany first enjoyed international fame after winning the I&C World Clash 2005 in Brooklyn. Until today, no other soundsystem from europe has been able to draw level with this success. But Sentinel is also one of the most popular juggling sounds in Europe - for 2010 and 2011 they have been awarded „sound of the year" by the readers of Germany´s RIDDIM Magazine. The „everlasting sound" has also been promoting dances, events and festivals throughout its 13-year old career and thus has always been offering a platform to many jamaican artists or sound on the euopean market.
