dear everybody.

we've just released the remix album for our second album lumber.

months after the release of 'lumber', we realised, that the shift from

synth-driven electropop to bach influenced boogie-rock is hard to comprehend.

since we actually don't understand it ourselves, we've asked friends of ours to help us out and make proper remixes driven by electricity. and here we are:

schneider tm, viktor marek, group of people, funkyman, the and group and se kool have come up with some pretty incredible edits of ragazzi traditionals. this is how ragazzi could have sounded, had they not fallen for the early status quo, kreator and händel.

thanks a lot to schneider, patrick, howard, viktor, spasti, christians, vredeber and tobi. enjoy.†††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††

this is what's in store for you:

………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………

Viktor Marek worked on Not exactly……………………………………………………………………………………

Viktor Marek - the Willi Wonka of Funk - showing us the dark and funky sides of Not exactly. When the drugs don't work this will do.

………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………

Schneider TM worked on The knight……………………………………………………………………………………

listen to Sigue Sigue Sputnik contradicting The Jesus and Mary Chain with Sun Ra conducting

………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………

The And Group worked on 9,99……………………………………………………………………………………

Howard Huang's ahead-of-time dubfunk version straight from the center of decision finally brings Ragazzi as close to Reggea as they will ever be.

Group of People worked on U=V x P / X

Forget about Nu-Rave: The real rave spacecraft has landed - in adaption of the 'Close Encounters of the Third Kind'- Soundtrack the Group of People present the future of festivities: Space Rave.

………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………

Se Kool feat. X-Factor worked on Boys in Jeans……………………………………………………………………………………

Mirvais and Klaus Schulze morphed into the body of Se Kool and created a pop-anthem which is even more pop than the original. Practically impossible - actually executed.

………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………

Commercial Breakup worked on Boys in Jeans……………………………………………………………………………………

Commercial Breakup reveal the potential of the song: pathos, pop and power. followed by a dirty fantasy: a guitar solo duel between Dirk Kretz and Christopher Uhe.

………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………

Funkyman worked on Boys in Jeans……………………………………………………………………………………

The power of deconstruction demonstrated by the one and only funkyman

blues. bach. and the boogie

………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………

and this is what needs saying about the actual album:

………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………

ragazzi have done it: manage the twist from blues to classic to popular music. join the boys on a bold journey through 4 decades of musical history with their new album ‘lumber’: see why ‘the elo’ would have done well with a chamber orchestra, why elton john could have done without a chorus and iggy pop is handsome even with a haircut…

a brief history: getting over the wee sales of their first album ‘friday’, ragazzi choose not to go mental but metal: in 2004 and 2005, they tour eastern europe with great success as ‘ruler of the wasteland’, performing their repertoire in raw metal versions.

after 8 months of nonstop touring ragazzi return and begin work on a follow-up to ‘friday’, the new material being as catchy and elegant as you would expect from the band but obviously influenced by vodka soaked nights and drop-D guitars. ‘a fusion of the diametral’, as the boys like to call it.

only legendary german producer christopher uhe aka ‘krite’ could handle such and was therefore chosen by the band to record and produce their new album : ‘lumber’.

although very reduced in their instrumentation, the songs on ‘lumber’ attempt to cover the whole great spectrum of pop music: minimalist staccatos on walls of sound. stoic beats bumping into swinging boogie. euphoric pop embracing laid back rock. all this is merely created by one guitar, a piano, some drums and bass. and some percussion. and yes, a little bit of cembalo and viola, too.

sounds weird? well, it´s not. if ragazzi do it. it´s catchy, it´s pop-music. it´s metal vs. folk. it´s bongo frenzy vs. anne sophie mutter. it´s a fusion of diametrals.
