When thinking of a way to do a video for this track, I knew I couldn't film it. The subject was a bit too fantastic to pull of well without a budget beyond things I ever do. So in thinking of another approach, I kept imagining 80s American public broadcasting shows, where they'd have a narrator telling a story and everything was not-quite-animated -- just drawings that would fade between each other. I asked my friend Laura Bearl, who's always done cool illustrations and short-form comics, to direct and illustrate the video, and then my niece, Ozni Foxglove, to paint it. They nailed it. It feels exactly like those old shows to me, and I'm really happy with the result.
