DESCRIPTION:
Our second trip to Quetico...9 days...75 miles....Fly in, paddle out. We dropped in to Mack Lake on the eastern edge of the wilderness, then 18 miles of small lakes and a slow moving river to our first night campsite. Several portages and log jams to manuever also. Needless to say the 'Old Man' was pretty gassed after 12 hours in the 90 degree heat. The fishing on the river was 'insane' as Sean nailed over 20 fish in the stream alone including a 28" Walleye, several Smallmouth and a dozen Pike, one that pulled the canoe for 25 feet before breaking the line.
