Here's a review of the Squier Vintage Modified Jaguar for grunge use. If you're debating whether to get this guitar, I highly recommend you go for it. It's a pretty fantastic guitar and it's my personal favorite out of the other four guitars I own.
Here are some helpful fixes right off the bat:
Add some Loctite to the bridge to secure the screws and eliminate the buzzing.
Replace bridge pickup with something a little smoother and hotter (such as a Seymour Duncan Hot Rails) for a more Nirvana tone.
Alternative to the Loctite, you could purchase a Straytrem Jaguar Bridge or Fender Mustang Bridge.

I hope this review is helpful. If it was leave a like!
