DESCRIPTION:
"Venus" by the Psyclones, is a song originally performed by Shocking Blue in 1969. This live recording is from Sherlock's in downtown Erie, and was mixed by John Frazzini.
The Psyclones were Ken Kranz and Herm Eugenio on guitar, Bob Kuhn/Joe Washek on drums, and Xtine played bass and sang this song. This psychedelic cover band performed "new wave" material 1981-1982 in the PA-Ohio region, and played songs by the Police, Pretenders, U2, Tom Petty, 999 and a couple of tunes they wrote. The original audio cassette tape of this lively performance was destroyed many years ago, but this song survived because it had been re-recorded onto a different
tape.
This production of the Psyclones was made specifically for Laura Frazzini Reed at her request. Video is c. 2013 Vacationing Parakeet Productions.
