DESCRIPTION: A video from the April 6th 2013 debut performance of the Jon Armstrong Jazz Orchestra at the Blue Whale in downtown Los Angeles. This composition is entitled "Ardnave" and is inspired by the beautiful northern coast of Islay, an Island off the south west coast of Scotland. I went there with my beautiful wife for our honeymoon and this piece is meant to evoke the amazing time we had over there.
It features great solos by Daniel Rosenboom on Trumpet, Randy Gloss and Chris Payne on Percussion and Phil O'Connor on Clarinet.
