The genre-bending, transnational band (of American, Spanish, and Portuguese backgrounds) is a reflection of the diverse cultural and musical influences of its members. Backed by a solid rhythm section that seamlessly fuses their rock/ska/reggae/dub/hardcore/hip-hop foundation with jazz, funk, and world music influences, versatile front-man and founding member Guillermo De Llera (vocals, percussion, didgeridoo) unleashes a verbal assault that mixes rap, spoken word, and melodic vocals with profound lyrics.



For over a decade, Primitive Reason have remained true to their roots and ideals. Their innovative sound and powerful live concerts have generated many fans on the international underground music scene. Since 1996, the band has released five studio albums and toured throughout Portugal, U.S.A, United Kingdom and Spain. The band has also performed at many summer music festivals and shared the stage with an extensive list of international bands including System of Down, UB40,Tool, David Bowie, Fishbone, Audioslave, Manu Chao, Misfits, Incubus, Deftones, and Prodigy, to name a few. Sobre Primitive:
Foi em Maio de 1996 que os Primitive Reason emergiram na cena musical portuguesa com a edição de Alternative Prison, uma fusão única de estilos musicais como o Ska/Reggae, o Funk, o Hip-Hop, o Punk/Hardcore, e até o Tribal/Étnico.
Depois de terem passado a maior parte do último ano a trabalhar na composição do próximo disco, o sexto álbum de originais e sucessor de "Pictures in the Wall", a banda responde aos pedidos insistentes dos fãs com o regresso aos palcos nacionais para celebrar os seus 15 anos de carreira antes de regressar ao estúdio para terminar a produção do novo àlbum.
Os concertos integrados nesta digressão comportam um espectáculo especial que pretende honrar o passado e celebrar o presente. Além de revisitar muitos dos "clássicos" do álbum de estreia, incluindo temas como "Seven Fingered Friend", "Hipócrita", ou "So You Say" , a banda aproveitará a Tour 2011 para brindar os fãs com algumas novidades ao longo de um alinhamento recheado de temas que marcaram intensamente a história da música moderna feita em Portugal.
Ao longo de todos estes anos, os Primitive Reason têm-se afirmado entre os líderes do movimento alternativo internacional, pela sonoridade singular que os caracteriza e também pelas impressionantes actuações ao vivo. Com 5 álbuns de originais editados e diversas tournées realizadas pelos Estados Unidos, Reino Unido, Espanha e Portugal, ficam para recordar actuações marcantes em festivais de música como o Super Bock Super Rock, Vilar de Mouros, Paredes de Coura, e Ilha do Ermal, entre outros.
