Live from the Hatchery, Episode 2 - Marty O'Reilly & Sean Carscadden - Video
PUBLISHED:  Sep 11, 2013
DESCRIPTION:
Live from the Hatchery is proud to present Marty O'Reilly & Sean Carscadden, performing their original song "Going to the Country" live in the world-famous "Waits Room" at Prairie Sun Recording. A young singer/songwriter from Santa Cruz, Marty has one of those incredibly rare voices that stopped me cold with the first few notes. I suspect many of you will have the same experience watching this video! Many singers try to mimic the style of vocal in this genre of traditional music; Marty just actually sings in that style. Joining Marty in this video is Sonoma-based singer/guitarist Sean Carscadden, whose deft harmony brings a sweetness and airiness to compliment Marty's dark rumble. The duo have released one full-length album, 2012's "Broke the Moon."

Marty is currently touring with his trio, the Old Soul Orchestra. You can support the making of the trio's first studio recording by contributing to their indiegogo campaign: http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/marty-o-reilly-the-oso-studio-ep
