Esa Linna - "Meat Market" Castello Recordings - A BlankTV Feature!

Artist Biography: On September 20th 2013, Finnish recording artist Esa Linna released his debut album "This Is Who I Am" on CD. The album has been released earlier this year on digital music stores.

"This Is Who I Am" showcases 10 power pop and rock songs, that contain influences from bands & artists like The Who, Cheap Trick, Jason Falkner and Alice Cooper Band. Esa Linna plays most of the instruments by himself and sings most of the vocals too. Seppo Alvari Pohjolainen features as the drummer in 9 songs and ex-Jellyfish member Roger Joseph Manning Jr. (also a highly respected studio musician, who has been featuring on recordings by Ringo Starr, Green Day and Johnny Cash) plays keyboards and sings the backing vocals on the track "She's Not a Human Being". In the second song "A Drop in the Ocean", the backing vocals were provided by Linna's daughter Milja.

Linna plays also in Finnish language folk rock band Itämaa and in country rock influenced Seppo Alvari Band. He was also the founding member of 90's punk pop group Time Flies.

About The Video: Spanish underground film director Carlos Atanes made a music video for "Meat Market". The video features beautiful actress Eva Garcia Vacas (known from many Spanish films and TV series), lighting was handled by Jacobo Medrano. Atanes' films are disturbing and provocative piece of art, and so is this. Not for the faint-hearted or humourless! You have been warned!
