The book begins each new section with simple “One-Surface Learning” that can be practiced on the pad or snare drum, at first. Then in a systematic and organized program, the course takes the students to four levels of timetables, snare solos, drum set etudes and “four-way - polyrhythmic –coordination” focusing on hi-hat, bass drum, snare drum and ride cymbal.
